Meet the 22-23 Coaches:
Head Coach Boys: Nathan Schultz [email protected] Coach Schultz is in his fifth year coaching the San Tan Foothills Boys team, and also coaches the San Tan Heights K8 team for the past six years. In his youth, Coach Schultz played for various club teams in the Chicagoland area, many times playing up an age level. He continued to play in high school at Naperville Central in Naperville, Illinois. During his senior year Coach Schultz was offered a scholarship to play at Mount Saint Joseph in Cincinnati, Ohio, but ultimately decided to play at College of DuPage in Illinois. Coach Schultz finished his club soccer career with the Bolingbrook Raiders. In his soccer career Coach Schultz played mostly outside mid-fielder, forward, but also would play defense. In 2011 Coach Schultz and his now wife moved out to Arizona to finish college at ASU and become teachers. They now run the soccer program at San Tan Foothills together and hope to build a program for the community. USA Soccer 11v.11 certified USA Soccer 9v.9 certified Head Girls Coach: Anneliese Schultz [email protected] Coach A. Schultz is in her third year at Head Coach for the San Tan Foothills soccer team. Coach A. Schultz is running the girls program along side with her husband, who head coaches the boys team. While Coach A. Schultz does not have a traditional background in playing soccer, she has grown to love the sport and the strategy behind field formations. Coach A. Schultz gives all her knowledge credit to her husband, Nathan Schultz. She has been going to his club and college soccer games since they started dating in 2010. From then to now she is confident she has the tools to lead the team to success. Growing up Coach A. Schultz swam competitively from age 5 to 18. She swam for Mavericks Swim Club and Naperville Central High School in Naperville, Illinois. She also threw shotput and discus for her high school's track and field team. Coach A. Schultz also assistant coaches the track team at San Tan Foothills. Coach A. Schultz looks forward to building the program alongside her husband. It is a goal for the two of them to create a soccer culture in San Tan Valley, and have programs available to athletes who want to compete at the collegiate level.
